We offer several ways to license MerchantTribe. Our free, open-source version is licensed under the Open Software License 3 which means that you can get our source code for free! One requirement of the open-source license is that you share any custom programming changes you make with the community under the same terms. That's only fair right?

We also offer a commercial license of MerchantTribe which is built on the same code as the open-source version but comes with support and a different license. With the commercial version you can host anywhere and get support from us. You can also keep your super-secret customized code private without the sharing requirement.

Finally, we offer a hosted version of MerchantTribe. We manage all the technical details for you. Software, support and hosting are all included in the monthly price. We provide automatic, free updates to your store so you don't have to worry about keeping up with the latest releases and patches. We also provide multi-server scaling so as your web site grows you can be confident that it will continue to handle all of your new traffic.
